Going on holiday is good for your health, and if you can get away more than once a year, you will feel much better. When it comes to vacationing, you have two options: travel overseas or stay at home. We all enjoy going on vacation somewhere where the weather is virtually always sunny! The sun, sand, and landscape are all appealing, but the prospect of travelling abroad and everything that entails can make you want to stay at home and not bother if truth be told.

What Is The Great British Staycation

Imagine not having to worry about:

  • Airport chaos, lines, and potential drones
  • Delayed or even cancelled flights
  • Forgotten passports
  • Driving on the wrong side of the road

The United Kingdom offers a variety of possibilities for a relaxing and rejuvenating staycation with less stress and maximum enjoyment.

What Are Static Caravans

Let’s face it, caravanning conjures up images of traffic congestion, cramped, uncomfortable living quarters, and gloomy weather. But no longer! You’ll be able to holiday exactly where you want in luxury, with all the modern conveniences you’d expect from a top quality hotel, thanks to a profusion of static caravan sites across the UK.

Talk to us about our used static caravans.

Most modern static caravans have:

  • Large open plan living areas
  • Modern sanitation
  • Fitted kitchens with built-in appliances
  • Two or more double bedrooms and can often sleep six or more
  • Large decking areas to enjoy alfresco living

Whether you choose to rent a static caravan for a couple of weeks or take the plunge, in an area you love and buy a caravan, you will be amazed at the facilities many campsites have. Gyms, swimming pools, restaurants, children’s play areas and even onsite entertainment teams, long gone are the days of a swampy field with a dripping standpipe for drinking water!

Camping Or Clamping

If you’re on a tight budget this year but still want to get away with the family for a week or two, camping could be the answer. If you already have tents, sleeping bags, and all of the other essential camping gear, all you have to do now is decide whatever region of the country appeals to you, reserve your pitch, and off you go – you’re on vacation.

If you’ve never camped before, don’t have the necessary equipment, or simply want to dip your toe into the camping pool before committing, consider glamping.

With glamping, the tents are set up for you when you arrive, you sleep under duvets on proper beds, can enjoy the comfort of a sofa and you cook in a regular kitchen inside your tent. You are still camping, sleeping under canvas, out in nature, but you are doing it in style.

Holiday Camps

Since Billy Butlin’s initial camp in Skegness, holiday camps have come a long way. Gone are the chalets and large dining halls where everyone eats together. You can now self-catering, half-board, or full-board, depending on how you wish to spend your vacation.

Holiday camps are designed to be an all-in-one entertainment destination, with activities throughout the day and evening performances, bingo, and variety acts to cap off the day. It’s fun for both kids and parents!

City Breaks

A vacation is typically thought of as a one- or two-week break in a sunny location where you can relax as a family and recharge your batteries.

Is it, however, required to be this way? Why not divide your vacation into a half-dozen city breaks spread out over the course of the year? You spend one month touring the Houses of Parliament in London by day and seeing a West End musical at night. Another month, visit an art gallery or historical site, then dine at a Michelin-starred restaurant.

Budget hotels are cropping up all across the country, making it easier than ever to get out and tour the United Kingdom from top to bottom, one weekend at a time.

Theme Parks

The thought of a brief stay at a theme park would undoubtedly appeal to thrill seekers, or at least those who have thrill-seeking children. High-octane coasters combined with a spa hotel provide something for everyone.

Enjoy a few hours of being thrown from side to side and upside down, then let a qualified massage work out the kinks in your back before unwinding with a nice dinner and a few drinks before doing it all over again the next day…

Why Not Try A Staycation?

Holidays do not have to be the standard two weeks on a Mediterranean beach, they can be anything you want them to be. The UK has a surprising amount to offer and as our summer weather has been so good for the last couple of years!
